Welcome to Zen
Our Journey as a Community Wellbeing Group
HOLISTIC KNOWLEDGE, PRACTICAL SUPPORT
Experience in Wellbeing
Zen Community Hub is a not-for-profit community wellbeing group created from a simple belief: everyone deserves access to support, connection and opportunities that nurture their wellbeing. Founded by Neil Perry-Timson, who also established The Zen Rooms, the Hub combines professional wellbeing experience with a strong understanding of the challenges faced by families, carers and communities.
Neil is an experienced yoga teacher, meditation teacher, Reiki Master and sound therapy practitioner. Through The Zen Rooms, he delivers yoga, meditation, sound healing, workshops, retreats and community wellbeing events.
His work has also included radio interviews and live sound therapy performances, including the Karen Ruimy experience in London.

UNDERSTANDING SHAPED BY LIVED EXPERIENCE
Supporting Families and Carers
Alongside his wellbeing work, Neil brings extensive lived experience as a foster carer and adoptive parent. He has supported foster, adoptive and kinship families, and worked alongside organisations supporting families of children with SEND, disabilities and neurodivergence, as well as LGBTQ+ communities.
SHARED EXPERIENCE, SHARED PURPOSE
A Committee with Lived Experience
Zen Community Hub is a constituted, not-for-profit community group supported by a committee with experience in fostering, looked-after children, SEND children and adults, caring roles and community support.
We are working hard to secure funding so we can offer free or subsidised wellbeing activities to individuals, families and communities who may face financial, practical or social barriers to accessing traditional support.
CONNECTION, INCLUSION AND COMMUNITY
